The Newhouse School’s Bandier program for the recording and entertainment industries was named a top music business program by Billboard Magazine. The program is included in the publication’s “Top Music Business Schools” list each time it runs.
The Bandier program combines research and practical experience in music, media, marketing and entrepreneurial business to prepare students for successful careers in the music industry. This was made possible by a generous gift from Syracuse University Trustee and Sony/ATV Music Publishing Chairman and CEO Martin Bandier ’62.
The Billboard announcement states that the program’s David M. Rezak Music Business Lecture Series has been running for 10 years, allowing students to listen to and connect with key industry figures, including Tat Tong, Head of A&R, Sony Music Greater China, and Jacqueline Saturn’ 90, President of Virgin Music Label and Artist Services.
“This is just one way the program, a creative community within Syracuse’s larger, uplifted student body, enhances the industry-oriented curriculum.”
