Gordon Ford College of Business (GFCB) has been selected for Bodyswap and Meta’s Immersive Soft Skills Grant. GFCB will receive two Meta Quest 2 headsets and access to the Bodyswaps library of soft skills training simulations. Virtual reality headsets and modules will allow students to experience real work scenarios and receive training in communication and public speaking, employability and job interviewing, diversity, equity and inclusion, management and leadership, and customer experience.
“We recently added career preparation courses to our business requirements,” said Dr. Evelyn Thrasher, Senior Associate Dean, Gordon Ford School of Business. “We will incorporate virtual reality training into these courses. If students complete Bodyswaps training, we will follow up with in-person assignments to assess student progress.”
In Fall 2022, the GFCB has revised its business curriculum. This revision enables GFCB to integrate professionalism and student success throughout a student’s academic experience.
