With more moving, Parsons is reminding people to recycle their holiday trash.

“We want to see our residents unpack those cardboard boxes and put them in your blue bin. Also, as far as wrapping paper, if your wrapping paper has foil or sequins or anything like that, Your trash can goes, plain wrappers go in your recycling bin,” Parsons said.

Parsons said it was important to keep the recycling stream clean, reminding plastic bags and edible materials such as paper plates, napkins and cutlery could contaminate the entire waste.

Parsons reminds you that you can now put most smaller electronics in the black trash can for recycling.
