Fundraising for flooded businesses

Six businesses were hardest hit by Thursday’s flooding in Monongahela.

The Monongahela Regional Historical Society has found a way to help neighbors in their time of need. A broken water line at the intersection of Fourth and Main streets was repaired Thursday, but many businesses were forced to close until further notice. It could take weeks or even longer for them to resume operations. Residents living in some buildings in the city center were temporarily displaced because power had not yet been restored.
