Your Thursday Night Football viewing experience is about to change. Amazon Prime — the streaming service arm of Jeff Bezos’ retail giant — begins airing tonight’s Kansas City Chargers-Chiefs during Thursday night’s NFL game and will continue to play for the next four months continue to play.

While fans in their local markets will be able to watch TV shows on their TVs — in Los Angeles and Kansas City tonight — fans outside of the market will need to subscribe to Amazon Prime Video (only $8.99 per month and included in the overall price of Amazon Prime) Medium) or $14.99 a month or $139 a year) and streaming devices configured to watch TV games will also be available through the Prime Video app on smartphones and tablets.

More than 18 months ago, the NFL announced that Amazon would be the exclusive operator of most Thursday night games in a massive $13 billion deal that runs through 2033. The annual cost is about $1 billion, which means Amazon will pay about $67 million in royalties per game.
