Latta Named Chair of Energy and Business Communications and Technology Subcommittee

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. House of Representatives. Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, was named chairman of the Energy and Business Communications and Technology Subcommittee for the 118th Congress.

“After serving as the Republican leader of this subcommittee for the past four years, I am ready to lead the subcommittee on policies that benefit our communities and keep America at the forefront of innovation,” Latta said in a statement.

“I look forward to building on the progress we have made in recent years, including increasing access to reliable Internet through rural broadband, combating illegal robocalls, and freeing up more spectrum to improve consumer connectivity. Great strides have been made in platform accountability, but we’re ready to build on these efforts to protect children from online predators and rein in Big Tech’s control over platforms that share and listen to Americans’ thoughts and opinions influence and scrutiny.”

Latta served as a ranking member of the Communications and Technology Subcommittee for the 116th and 117th Congress.
