On Aug. 19, police received a call to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Budget Suites near Tropicana and Valley View Boulevards. As 8 News Now Investigators reported in August, Metro police investigating the suspicious vehicle noticed a foul smell coming from the trunk of the car.

Documents obtained Wednesday show officers were told the vehicle was linked to a missing persons report in Haggi, Arizona, and was registered in Danh, police said. Police have been told that Haji was last seen around June 5 or 6 in the Phoenix area.

While smelling the stench, detectives investigating the situation saw “black trash bags, rubber medical gloves and a bottle of ammonia” through the car window, the document said.

When police opened the trunk, they found “a badly decomposed human body, partially wrapped in garbage bags,” they said. Police said the body was “excessively decomposed” and could not determine the victim’s sex, race or injuries, prompting the Clark County Coroner’s Office to launch a further investigation.
