Localized production of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) boosts North American lithium-ion battery supply chain

boston, February 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Koura, Orbia’s fluorination solutions business, announced today that it has partnered with Kanto Thinking Kogyo produces lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), a key lithium-ion battery material. The agreement gives Koura access to Kanto Denka Kogyo’s world-class technology and industry expertise in commercial LiPF6 production.
