Chicago Sun-Times CEO Nykia Wright was named a Distinguished Community Leader by YWCA Metropolitan Chicago at the 50th Annual Leadership Luncheon on Thursday.

Wright was presented at the luncheon with the Distinguished Business Leadership Award, which recognizes women who align with the organization’s mission to empower women and eliminate racism.

Other honorees are WBEZ reporter Natalie Moore’s Outstanding Leader in Racial Justice Award; and Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady’s Outstanding Leader in Health Equity. Discover Inc. was awarded for corporate social innovation.
