Karren Knowlton’s research center is a catalyst for change at work. Her primary focus is diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) topics, including what drives members of marginalized groups to be trailblazers at work, how members of majority groups can be effective allies, and the connections and connections that build more autonomous work. How relationships can make a difference affects the identities, reputations and outcomes of marginalized groups. She also studies the micro-foundations of organizational and institutional change. Knowlton’s research has received several grants and awards and has been published in leading management journals including Journal of the School of ManagementShe has taught management seminars at the Wharton School and served as a graduate student in Teaching Excellence at the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Pennsylvania. Before her academic career, she worked at Nike as a mechanical design engineer. Knowlton received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. louis.

Jong Myeong Lim is a postdoctoral fellow in the Operations and Management Sciences Group at Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business. His research lies at the intersection of healthcare operations management and health economics. Lim’s work focuses on motivating and improving the efficiency and quality of the healthcare system by addressing key operational challenges including capacity management, incentive dislocation and patient access to care. He won first place in the 2021 MSOM Student Paper Competition and second place in the 2022 POMS School of Healthcare Operations Management Best Paper Competition. Before entering academia, Lim worked as a business analyst at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. He holds a BA in Economics and an MA in Health Policy and Management from New York University, an MA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Management Science and Applied Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
