Washburn Institute of Technology Honors Fall 2022 Graduates

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Washburn Institute of Technology honored fall graduating graduates at Lee Arena’s commencement ceremony on Thursday.

A total of 267 Washburn Institute of Technology students graduated from 21 programs.

The student speakers for the fall commencement are:

  • Savannah Stallbaumer, Practical Nursing
  • John Grame, Advance Systems Technology

Marshal for the fall commencement ceremony was Eric Showalter, who taught for 18 years in the Department of Collision Repair at the Washburn Institute of Technology. He was named a Washburn University Fellow in 2015. Showalter will retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.

The opening address was delivered by Marshall Meek, Interim Chancellor of Washburn University. Dr. Mike Strohschein, dean of the Washburn Institute of Technology, confers degrees on graduates.
